We are seeking a talented individual to join our Tech Team at MMC. This role will be based in our Dublin office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least 3 days a week in the office.The role: Senior Analyst - Analytics and ReportingIn this role, you will take ownership of technical data leadership by serving as the primary data expert within the team, managing multiple products with a strong understanding of both their technical and business aspects. You will help shape the product technology strategy, provide technical guidance and coaching to team members, and establish best practices and standards to enhance data engineering capabilities. Collaboration with technical colleagues across Marsh Digital and MMC's Tech organization will be key, as will your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while solving complex problems.On the data product development side, you will build and maintain strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions. This includes creating reusable data queries and models, automating data extraction and processing workflows, and developing reports and dashboards that address business requirements. You will support your team's development efforts, communicate complex concepts clearly, and partner with other technology teams to advance business intelligence and analytics tools. Additionally, you will contribute to improving the team's overall efficiency and quality, stay informed on emerging best practices and technologies, and actively participate in data science initiatives to drive innovation and value delivery.We will rely on you to:Be the Data Specialist inside of the team regarding all data aspectsUnderstand existing products end-to-end from technology and business outcome perspectivesJuggle multiple products at once and still have fun doing itQuickly understand different source systems from a practical standpoint. Understand both the technical and business concepts.Provide thought leadership towards the product technology strategy and support the creation of a future data engineering competence inside of the teamProvide technical guidance and coaching to other team members and develop guidelines, standards and checklistsLiaise closely with technical colleagues that are part of Marsh Digital and MMC's Tech organisationData Product Development:Develop and maintain strong business relationships with the technical and business stakeholdersCreate reusable data queries and data modelsAutomate data extractions and processesCreate reports and dashboards on top of the data to give answers to business requirementsHelp the rest of the team with their developmentsCommunicate complex concepts in such a way that stakeholders will understand.Partner with other technology teams to develop state of the art business intelligence and analytics toolsProvide estimates for product featuresContribute to increasing the team's overall velocity, quality and value deliveredLooks into the horizon for new best practices & technology.Participate in data science initiativesWhat you need to have:Extensive relevant professional experience. Experience and success in owning data solutioning processes end-to-endAdvanced data analysis skills and quickly being able to translate business requests into technical database queries.Excellent SQL data query skillsBI/Data Visualizations tools experience (or at least exposure)Experience in Python/ R or equivalent languageUp-to-date on technology trends and industry thinkingData Engineering/ETL experiencePrior experience as a full-stack developer, preferably with MEAN framework, is highly desiredSQL programming skills is must haveWhat makes you stand out:Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
