Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced GMP Warehouse Specialist to support warehousing, cryogenics, and logistics activities within a regulated biologics manufacturing environment for a duration of 12 months on contract. The role is responsible for the receipt, inspection, sampling, storage, dispensing, and movement of raw materials and consumables in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This position supports manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are available, controlled, and audit-ready at all times, while operating safely and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Execute all tasks associated with GMP warehouse, cryogenics, and logistics operations, including receipt, inspection, sampling, storage, dispensing, and inventory movements of raw materials and consumables
2. Perform quality inspection of incoming materials and consumables in line with GMP requirements
3. Conduct GMP sampling of raw materials in controlled environments (ISO 7 / Grade C), utilising downflow booths, fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, and nitrogen overlay processes
4. Supply manufacturing areas with required materials in line with production schedules, ensuring a high level of internal customer service
5. Transfer materials from warehouse locations to Just-In-Time (JIT) areas and maintain appropriate stock levels
6. Maintain and operate KANBAN systems for consumables
7. Perform cycle counting and inventory accuracy activities across warehouse locations
8. Operate and monitor warehouse and material-handling equipment in a safe and compliant manner
9. Contribute to the generation, review, and continuous improvement of SOPs related to warehouse and materials management activities
10. Support investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and inspection readiness activities related to materials management
11. Ensure warehouse areas, equipment, and processes are maintained in an audit-ready state at all times
12. Actively promote a strong safety culture, report safety concerns and near misses, and comply with all safety and GMP requirements
13. Participate in team meetings, shift handovers, and cross-functional initiatives to improve safety, quality, compliance, and performance
14. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and complete pre-operational checks
15. Actively manage personal training requirements and maintain up-to-date job function training
16. Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives within the warehouse and logistics function
Qualifications & Requirements:
17. Minimum of Leaving Certificate or equivalent; third-level qualification in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing is desirable
18. At least 2 years' experience working in a GMP warehouse or materials management role, preferably within biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturing
19. Demonstrated experience with GMP warehousing activities, including raw material handling, sampling, and inventory control
20. Working knowledge of computerised inventory and production systems, ideally SAP
21. Experience operating powered industrial trucks, including PPT, VNA, reach truck, turret truck, or similar
22. Strong understanding of GMP requirements and safe handling of hazardous materials
23. High level of attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and ability to meet scheduled timelines
24. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Desirable
25. Experience in biologics manufacturing environments
26. Valid forklift and powered truck licences
27. C driving licence (advantageous) to support rigid truck transfers between warehouse and manufacturing buildings
28. Experience supporting regulatory inspections or audits
