Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing new and replacement parts from current suppliers, as well as sourcing products from new suppliers to improve quality, costs, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure clear communication and negotiation of the best value and delivery agreements.
* Work closely with supplier checking agents to ensure smooth processes and timely deliveries.
* Analyse sales trends and figures to align buying habits and make informed purchasing decisions.
* Communicate product specifications, measurements, and large amounts of information to internal teams.
* Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager on new products and deliveries, ensuring seamless logistics and supply chain management.
* Manage international shipping rules and paperwork to avoid delays and ensure compliance.
* Support other departments to resolve queries and issues, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive work environment.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in sourcing or purchasing within an agricultural-related parts industry.
* Background in agricultural parts or machinery sector is highly advantageous.
* International sourcing and purchasing procedures experience is essential.
* Strong organisational, methodical, and driven approach to processes.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
* Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
