Site Engineer ; We are currently seeking a Site Engineer to join our team Contracts team in Cork.
Location: On-site, based from Glanmire Office covering Cork and Kerry.
Role Purpose: To coordinate, supervise, and execute civil, structural, and MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) works on large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
The Site Engineer ensures all site activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with HSQE standards.
Key Responsibilities ? Supervise ongoing site works, ensuring compliance with project plans and safety protocols.
? Liaise with site teams and subcontractors for civil, structural, and MEICA installations.
? Support procurement of labour, materials, and equipment in line with BOQ requirements.
? Develop and manage project timelines from award to handover.
? Coordinate site labour and subcontractors for efficient resource allocation.
? Prepare engineering reports, method statements, commissioning schedules, and technical documentation.
? Manage Health & Safety documentation and enforce safe work practices.
? Participate in design reviews and resolve technical issues promptly.
? Oversee submittals, procurement tracking, delivery verification, and equipment inspections.
? Collaborate with design teams to ensure installation feasibility and maintenance accessibility.
? Respond to RFIs and ensure site teams work from latest approved drawings.
Candidate Requirements ? Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
? Minimum 5 years construction experience in site engineering, project coordination, or MEICA/civil installations (advantageous).
? Knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure preferred.
? IOSH Managing Safely in Construction certification (advantageous).
? Proficiency in Auto CAD, MS Office, and project management software.
? Strong understanding of contract conditions and construction documentation.
? Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
? Full EU/Irish driving licence required.
