The Optum Ireland Automation Centre of Excellence is a team passionate about process automation.
As a Software Engineer you will help deliver assisted automation solutions through building UI, APIs, and services, designing, developing, modifying, and testing Optum software applications for the healthcare industry in an agile environment.
Primary Responsibilities Execute the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and maintain application software following established processes.
Identify production and non-production application issues proactively and ensure quality of coded components using best practices.
Fine-tune and optimize applications and communicate project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager.
Develop and configure automation processes as per business requirements.
Support operational teams during UAT and rollout phases.
Required Qualifications Proven experience with SQL Server, Oracle, My SQL, or other database technologies.
Strong programming background in C#, Java, or other modern languages.
Experience delivering back-end or front-end development (ideally both).
Exposure to Agile delivery methods and distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Java Script, React, or Type Script.
Experience with Cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.
Experience in the Insurance industry (preferably Health Insurance).
