What you are expected to have
Key Requirements
Atleast 3-5 years’ experience as a Test Analyst for Business Systems development.
Broad knowledge and understanding of Life and Pensions industry processes
Must have Life 400 application knowledge
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – with a particular strength in written communications;
Takes personal responsibility for accuracy and quality
A certification in a formal Test or Quality methodology is desirable;
Demonstrate extensive experience in the delivery of a minimum of one project within the previous four years, which involved Public Application, CRM or Cloud system;
Responsible for the creation of test cases using own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability);
Creates traceability records from test cases back to requirements;
Manages/produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services;
Specifies requirements for environment, data, resources and tools;
Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
Interprets, executes and documents complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards;
Records and analyses actions and results and maintains a defect register;
Reviews test results and modifies test, if necessary;
Provides reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project;
Records and analyses test results, and reports on any unexpected or unsatisfactory outcomes;
Provides specialist advice to support others.
Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle, and different software development methodologies and frameworks
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and providing supervision, direction and support to other members of the team
Interest and curiosity in learning new systems and skills.

What you will do
Defining the business problem, scope the business solution and help formulate business cases for IT steering;
Identifying options to address the business problem and help the business critically assess those options, including, understanding the impact of a proposed change on business processes, on customers and on a commercial basis.
Developing good working relationships with all stakeholders, including senior business stakeholders, SME’s, development teams, project managers and relevant 3rd party suppliers.
