Production line Baker- Avoca Production Unit (1pm-10pm, Monday-Friday)OverviewThe baker plays an important role within the Avoca Production Unit, supporting the daily production of high-quality cakes, pastries, and seasonal bakery items. This role focuses on maintaining Avoca's standards of quality, consistency, and craft while working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily ProductionPrepare, weigh, mix, and bake Avoca bakery products including cakes, loaves, traybakes, cookies, and seasonal lines such as mince pies.Follow Avoca recipes and production specifications to ensure consistent flavour, texture, and presentation across all batches.Operate mixers, ovens, kettles, and all production equipment safely and correctly.Quality & Brand StandardsProduce all items to Avoca quality standards - artisan appearance, correct weights, and premium finish.Complete batch sheets, labelling, and production documentation accurately.Ensure allergens, traceability, and HACCP procedures are followed at all times.Shift Responsibilities (1pm-10pm)Set up the bakery station for afternoon/evening production runs.Complete required daily volumes and support prep for the following morning shift.Work closely with the Production Lead and Bakery Supervisor to meet targets.Carry out thorough end-of-shift cleaning, equipment shutdown, and stock checks.Teamwork & CommunicationCommunicate effectively with colleagues in bakery, pastry, prep, and packing teams to ensure smooth workflow.Report any issues with equipment, stock, or quality immediately to the Production Lead.Support new team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment.Skills & ExperienceExperience in bakery or production kitchen preferred, ideally in a high-volume environment.Strong understanding of weights, measurements, and recipe accuracy.Ability to work to pace while maintaining Avoca quality standards.Knowledge of HACCP and food safety essential.Good communication and team attitude.HoursMonday-Friday: 1pm-10pmWeekends: Off
