About the Role
This role involves providing guidance and support on all EHS requirements to colleagues and service providers, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining a strong on-site presence. You will drive continual improvement to uphold ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO50001 standards while supporting wider EHS initiatives across projects and departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote a strong EHS culture across all functions and with external contractors.
* Oversee contractor works, review RAMS, and support ongoing engineering and sustainability projects.
* Conduct inspections and internal assessments, identifying improvement opportunities across EHS, GMP and operational excellence.
* Lead investigations and ensure robust corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
* Provide EHS expertise and support for risk management, compliance, and training activities.
* Support site emergency response and ensure compliance with all EHS, GxP, and regulatory requirements.
Experience & Qualifications
* Level 7 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related field.
* 3+ years' EHS experience, ideally within pharmaceutical or biopharma environments.
* Strong technical and practical EHS knowledge, particularly within small molecule/API settings.
* Proven track record of driving EHS excellence with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Flexible, collaborative, and proactive approach with the ability to work independently or in a team.
