PurposeThe Employee Relations Partner leads and oversees the delivery of the companies core consultancy services, including HR support and advice, workplace investigations, change management, employment documentation, performance and employee lifecycle management, conflict resolution, and outsourced HR services. This is a senior client-facing role, responsible for managing a diverse client portfolio, ensuring excellence in service delivery, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the operational and strategic growth of the business.ResponsibilitiesSpecialist HR Advice & Client Service* Provide expert, practical HR and employment law advice to clients across a range of sectors.* Act as the lead advisor for complex employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, and performance management cases.* Manage workplace investigations from instruction through to report issuance, ensuring fairness, rigour, and legal compliance.* Advise clients on organisational change processes (e.g. restructures, redundancies, transfers), ensuring compliance with employment legislation.* Develop and update employment contracts, handbooks, and HR policies to reflect legislative changes and client needs.* Support clients across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, absence management, and exit processes.* Advise on conflict resolution and mediation strategies to support positive working relationships.* Promote good practice and early intervention approaches to help clients address people issues before they escalate.* Support clients in fostering positive workplace culture through clear communication, fair processes, and consistent application of policies.Service Delivery & Operational Oversight* Oversee delivery of all client services to ensure consistency, timeliness, and high standards.* Monitor and manage service levels, ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.* Oversee the preparation and quality assurance of documentation such as investigation reports, policies, contracts, and correspondence.* Ensure advice is accurately documented and case files are maintained to the required standards.* Identify opportunities to improve workflows and standardise processes across the business.* Accurately record time and activities to support client billing and project management.* Contribute to building trusted, long-term client partnerships by providing steady, solutions-focused support rather than reactive fixes.Outsourced HR Management* Act as the primary HR point of contact for assigned outsourced clients, providing dayto-day support on operational and strategic matters.* Manage regular client touchpoints to identify issues early, provide proactive guidance, and maintain strong relationships.* Offer practical, solution-focused advice on compliance, culture, performance, and employee relations.* Help clients strengthen their internal HR capability and confidence through clear guidance and consistent support.Business Development & Client Relationships* Build and maintain trusted client relationships, ensuring a high level of engagement and satisfaction.* Support the Managing Director with tenders, proposals, and business development opportunities.* Contribute to marketing initiatives, including website content, insights, case studies, and client communications.* Use service insights to help shape service delivery and identify opportunities for growth.* Act as an ambassador promoting pragmatic and people-centred HR practices.Internal Leadership & Team Collaboration* Act as a senior resource within the consultancy team, supporting consistency and quality of service delivery.* Provide guidance and support to team members on complex matters.* Contribute to internal case management, workflow planning, and allocation.* Ensure documentation and knowledge-sharing systems are kept up to date.* Contribute to a supportive, collaborative team culture where knowledge is shared.Qualifications & Experience* Degree in HR, Business, Law or related field (or equivalent experience).* Minimum 6-8 years' relevant HR/ER experience, ideally in a consultancy or advisory capacity.* Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and practical experience handling complex ER issues.* Demonstrated experience in workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and change management.* Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.* Strong communication, drafting, and analytical skills.* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Additional Details* Part-time role: 3-4 days per week - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Friday.* Primarily office-based, with some scope for hybrid working where appropriate.* May involve occasional travel to client sites across Ireland.* Full driving licence required.* Flexibility may be required occasionally to support client needs or investigations outside normal working hours.
