The Role:Our Client is a well-established and growing company seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator / Bookkeeper to join our team in a permanent role.This position is offered on a flexible basis of 24 to 30 hours per week, with working hours structured to suit the right candidate. For the right person, there may also be an opportunity for the role to develop into full time.The role would suit someone looking for a stable position that can fit around other commitments, while still being a valued and trusted part of the business.Responsibilities:Issuing sales invoices and credit notesRecording customer payments and maintaining debtor recordsBank reconciliationsPreparation and filing of VAT returnsPayroll processing and payroll submissions including P30 returnsAccurate recording of staff hours, overtime and holiday payDeveloping and managing accurate, robust and timely systems for employee records, including documentation, leave management and working hoursDeveloping and managing accurate and timely invoicing and VAT record keeping systems, ensuring compliance and efficiencyMaintaining employee records and supporting HR administrationResponding to staff queries relating to payroll and leaveLiaising with external accountants and RevenueGeneral bookkeeping and office administration dutiesThe ideal candidate will have:Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounts administration roleA good understanding of filing VAT and payrollExperience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or similarStrong attention to detail and accuracyAn organised and reliable approachA professional and approachable mannerComfort handling confidential financial and HR informationThe PackageA permanent role with genuine flexibility24 to 30 hours per week tailored to suit the right candidateOpportunity for the role to develop into full time over timeSupportive and inclusive working environmentOption for flexible or hybrid working arrangements once establishedCompetitive salary depending on experience
