Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality, holistic nursing care tailored to each resident's needs.
Act as an advocate for residents, ensuring dignity, respect, and person‑centred care.
Supervise and support Healthcare Assistants in delivering effective care.
Collaborate with GPs, multidisciplinary teams, and senior nursing staff.
Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date care plans and clinical documentation in line with HIQA standards.
Monitor, report, and escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
Administer medications safely and adhere to all clinical policies and procedures.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support service development.
Assist residents with daily activities, social engagement, and mealtimes where required.
Ensure equipment is used safely and report any faults promptly.
Requirements
Active registration with NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland).
Previous experience in care of the elderly desirable but not essential.
Strong clinical judgement and decision‑making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Compassionate, resident‑focused approach to care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
