Excel Recruitment are recruiting a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join a well-established multidisciplinary team within a university hospital in Waterford.Check out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today.This is an immediate start opportunity, offering career growth in a busy and supportive hospital environment.You will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of clinical areas, including Neuro, Stroke, Orthopaedics, Medical, Surgical, and Rehabilitation.As part of a passionate team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments, interventions, and rehabilitation for a diverse patient population in an acute hospital setting.You will have the chance to expand your skills, take on new challenges, and make a real impact on patient care.Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, patient-centred care within a variety of clinical settings, including orthopaedics, surgery, neurology, stroke, and rehabilitation.Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans to promote functional independence and rehabilitation.Work closely with patients, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.Supervise and mentor junior staff and students, providing guidance and support to help them develop in their roles.Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the Occupational Therapy department.Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with hospital policies and standards.Engage in continuous professional development and participate in training and educational opportunities to further enhance your clinical skills.Requirements: CORU Registration as an Occupational Therapist (essential).Minimum of 1 year of post-graduate experience in an acute hospital setting.Strong clinical skills, particularly in orthopaedics, surgery, medical rehabilitation, and neuro/neurology.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
