Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Deli Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times, providing customers with excellent quality products and services.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
2 years' experience in a Supervisor/Manager role (desirable)
1 year's experience in a role with in-depth experience in fresh food (desirable)
Experience in achieving sales targets and KPIs
Experience in gross profit and margins (essential)
Fully trained in HACCP and food safety, with experience in meeting these requirements
Experience in ordering for deli departments and managing waste within a fresh food department
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Numerical skills
Ability to roster and adhere to budgets
Passion for the food industry, with creativity and innovation in fresh offerings
Customer-focused management skills to build a loyal customer base
Ability to inspire, lead, and motivate employees through support and development
Main duties:

Prepare the presentation and layout of the deli serve-over
Drive sales and margins across all key areas of the deli
Manage KPIs such as sales, margin, waste, pricing, and promotional displays
Implement planograms correctly
Minimize waste and shrinkage in the department
Introduce new ideas for fresh food innovation through research and benchmarking
Share knowledge, recipes, and recommendations to demonstrate passion for quality food
Train new employees in the deli
Handle customer queries professionally and consistently with store policy
Engage with new initiatives and embrace innovative ways of working

Deli Chargehand Full Time
We are recruiting for a Deli Chargehand at our store in Barna, Galway H91F8XT.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
Must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting.
