The role combines operational ownership with long-term network strategy and digital transformation.The RoleYou will own and optimise the performance of our 3PL warehousing and transport partners across Grocery and Textiles, serving both store delivery and eCommerce fulfilment.You will be accountable for:Day-to-day operational performance across external warehousing partnersTransport and reverse logistics performance across third-party providersService levels, cost control, quality, safety and risk mitigationGovernance and accountability structures with logistics partnersDevelopment of the long-term warehousing and logistics network strategyDriving digital transformation across WMS, TMS and operational reportingTranslating commercial and sales plans into executable logistics strategiesThis role requires both operational depth and strategic capability. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Demand Fulfilment, Buying, Commercial and Store Operations to ensure logistics performance aligns with trading priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the operational relationships with all 3PL warehousing partners across Grocery and TextilesDrive industry-leading service performance into stores and eCommerce channelsLead transport partner performance including outbound distribution, backhauls and asset managementDeliver measurable cost, service and efficiency improvements across the logistics networkShape and implement the future-state warehousing and logistics modelIntroduce data-led decision making and enhanced performance visibility across the networkEnsure sustainability and ESG compliance across logistics operationsWhat We’re Looking ForExperience15+ years’ experience leading warehousing and logistics operations in a high-volume, multi-SKU retail or FMCG environmentProven experience managing 3PL providers and/or large distribution networksExperience designing and optimising warehousing and logistics networksStrong exposure to WMS, TMS and fulfilment technologiesExperience supporting multi-channel operations including eCommerceLeadership ProfileCommercially aware with strong financial disciplineCredible operator with the ability to challenge and influence external partnersStrategic thinker who remains grounded in operational detailComfortable leading transformation and change at scaleStrong stakeholder engagement capability across senior leadership teamsWhy This Role MattersThis role sits at the centre of Dunnes Stores’ supply chain transformation.
