Profile of the Role:
* The Environmental Compliance Specialist will be part of a team that will implement the requirements/conditions set out in the site’s IED (Industrial Emissions) License, Greenhouse Gas Permit and other Environmental Programs.
Description of Duties:
* Provide Technical Assistance for the site’s environmental programs, including air emissions, wastewater discharges, soil and groundwater management, surface water management, waste management, and environmental noise control
* Ensure that the company adheres to both local and Corporate environmental standards
* Act as the Point of Contact for environmental compliance
* Help create a positive culture for environmental performance
* Facilitate the implementation of various environmental programs across the site
* Assist in implementing the conditions set out in the site’s new IED Licence and Greenhouse Gas Permit and as part of that support the site’s environmental sampling and monitoring requirements
* Be a resource to all areas in helping them understand the regulatory requirements of their areas and programs. Work with them in implementing solutions that comply with these regulations and programs
* Participate in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) improvement projects for optimization, simplification and streamline of EHS processes related to Environmental Programs
* Compiling Environmental reporting for both regulatory and corporate requirements
* Continuously stay up to date with new environmental regulations
* Deliver Instructor Lead Training for environmental courses
Experience and Requirements:
·BSc or MSc in Environmental Science or similar
·4 years + experience working in the pharmaceutical industry essential
·Previous Experience working with an IED Licence would be an advantage
(Hybrid working available after Training)
** Are you eligible to work in Ireland? As this is a Contract role, you will need a Visa:
either Stamp 1G or Stamp 4 **
