Job Description:
Data Migration Lead
The purpose of this role is to provide leadership, direction, and oversight of all data migration related activities carried out on the SAP S/4HANA programme. The individual will be responsible for working with business stakeholders, IT, and programme leadership to define the overall data migration strategy and approach for the programme.
The role requires knowledge of SAP data structures and elements and experience of working with and managing large SAP datasets. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are essential to executing the role successfully.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop the overall data migration strategy and approach
* Develop the overall data migration plan in conjunction with the programme management team
* Lead a team of data analysts responsible for the extraction, cleansing, transforming, and loading of data into new SAP systems
* Work effectively between functional teams and the data migration team to understand business requirements and lead the development of ETL routines using SAP Data Services
Required Skills and Qualifications:
You are a highly motivated, delivery-focused leader with superb interpersonal skills and a passion for excellence. You have 5+ years of experience in a similar role managing large-scale SAP datasets, data change, and migration activities. You have deep functional knowledge of SAP data structures, elements, and concepts (ECC or S/4HANA). You are highly organized, with good planning and people management skills. You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in the MS Office suite. You are educated to degree level or equivalent.
