Director/Senior Director, Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT), Business Development & Strategy, EMEA. 1 year contract.
Location: Dublin, Ireland (EEO and company information retained as applicable).
Overview
IQVIA’s Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT) enables remote and hybrid clinical studies by connecting patients through digital tools, wearable devices, and virtual visits. It improves accessibility, speeds up recruitment, and ensures compliance across diverse global regulations.
Responsibilities

Client engagement and understanding of client business; capture market share by aligning offerings with client needs and regional trends.
Maintain and strengthen professional relationships across the client organization with a focus on DCT; engage with client teams proactively and appropriately.
Develop and maintain deep client knowledge including business priorities, culture, product portfolio, pipeline, and spend/budget priorities.
Manage a systematic client-feedback approach to gather experience information from client teams about working with IQVIA.
Operational management: lead the operational management and oversight of IQVIA’s DCT activities for local and international markets; manage assigned strategic and key account relationships with Global and Regional Sales Teams as appropriate.
Identify and respond to customer needs to define potential DCT opportunities and propose tailored solutions aligned with client needs.
Collaborate with Internal RFX, Pricing & Contracts teams to support the sales cycle from RFX to sale; coordinate across clinical operations, technology, and commercial teams for cohesive DCT delivery.
Shape client perceptions by tailoring regulatory and operational approaches to Europe’s diverse landscape; engage with client teams to present marketing and Thought Leadership materials; manage Strategic Management Review conference.
Introduce IQVIA teams and capabilities to clients as relevant beyond standard pitches/RFPs (peer-to-peer engagement).
Champion innovation by integrating emerging technologies to differentiate IQVIA services and identify major opportunities in collaboration with Clinical, Technology, and Global Account teams.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of Decentralized Clinical Trials.
10+ years of experience in sales, sales engineering, business development, or similar roles within pharmaceutical, CRO, tech, health, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
Proven track record of managing mid-level and high-level contacts.
Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
Developing client contacts at outsourcing, procurement, and mid-management levels; excellent business/industry awareness and understanding of industry trends.
Strong analytical skills to assess and interpret customer data; ability to meet demanding timelines; ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
Adaptability to changing priorities; ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
Ability to work independently and as a team player; excellent MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills; excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
