Position Summary
CREGG are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Technician to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment within a fast-paced medical device manufacturing environment.
Candidates from Process Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Electrical Technician, Electrician could be suitable for this position.
This position requires a hands-on technical professional with experience in automation systems, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Support
Operate and monitor automated manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.
Perform routine equipment start-up, shutdown, and changeover activities.
Support production teams in achieving daily output, quality, and efficiency targets.
Respond promptly to equipment alarms, faults, and process interruptions.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to maintenance schedules.
Assist in root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Escalate complex technical issues to Manufacturing Engineers or Maintenance Specialists when required.
Automation Systems Support
Support automated assembly, inspection, packaging, and material handling systems.
Assist with sensor calibration, vision system verification, and equipment validation activities.
Work with PLC-controlled equipment and HMIs to identify and resolve operational issues.
Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with GMP, GDP, ISO *****, FDA, and company quality requirements.
Complete accurate documentation for maintenance, troubleshooting, and production activities.
Support deviation investigations, CAPA activities, and non-conformance resolution.
Participate in equipment validation and process verification activities.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment uptime, reliability, and process performance.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Assist with implementation of process improvements and equipment upgrades.
Contribute to cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects.
Safety
Follow all site safety procedures and policies.
Participate in risk assessments and safety improvement initiatives.
Ensure safe operation of equipment and compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Qualifications
Education
Certificate, Diploma, or Associate Degree in:
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Mechatronics
Automation Technology
Manufacturing Technology
Or related technical discipline
Experience
2–5 years' experience in a manufacturing, automation, or engineering support role.
Experience working with automated production equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
Medical device, pharmaceutical, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing experience is advantageous.
