Site Engineer II (Electrical)
The Site Engineer II (Electrical) is responsible for infrastructure activities in Data Centres to ensure reliable and efficient operation of the technical infrastructure. This includes maintenance, testing, and surveillance of all assets. The role involves troubleshooting, assembly, and scheduling of maintenance tasks. The position is critical for meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and client satisfaction, potentially involving a 7x24 shift rotation.
What you'll do
Operations and Compliance:
* Coordinate and execute equipment or system switching procedures with minimal disruption.
* Manage site operations to meet SLAs and maintain site appearance and cleanliness, escalating issues when necessary.
* Ensure all work complies with safety standards, approved procedures, and legal requirements.
Maintenance and Repair Works:
* Perform maintenance and repairs as assigned by management.
* Handle troubleshooting, assembly, and scheduling of maintenance activities.
On-call Duties and Incident Management:
* Participate in on-call duties, monitoring infrastructure and conducting site inspections.
* Activate and execute Emergency Operating Procedures when required.
What you’ll need
* Experience in mission-critical operations and maintenance of large-scale electrotechnical or mechanical systems.
* Technical education or training in mission-critical operations.
* Vocational-level education in a technical field or site engineering.
* Electrical Qualification recognized in Ireland (preferably QQI Level 6 Advanced Craft Certificate).
* Skills in maintaining electrotechnical and mechanical systems.
* Preferably skilled in fire detection and suppression systems maintenance.
* Basic knowledge of conveyor systems (elevators) and security systems (CCTV, Access Control).
* Experience with HVAC Mechanical and/or Electrical systems.
* Strong problem analysis skills.
* Proactive, customer-focused, with a desire to enhance service quality.
* Attention to detail, a positive attitude, and stress resilience.
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
