Our client, a manufacturer of battery energy storage systems, is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Technician to join their expanding team. The company is at the forefront of Ireland’s renewable energy transition, providing innovative and reliable solutions for a variety of applications, both on and off-grid. Their cutting-edge technology is helping to shape the future of energy storage in Ireland and beyond.Role OverviewThis is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical assembly work with responsibility for guiding a small workshop team. The successful candidate will have strong electrical and/or mechanical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and proven experience in delivering high-quality builds within a workshop environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day assembly of advanced energy systems in the workshopCarry out electrical panel assembly, wiring, and functional testingSupervise and support workshop technicians, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiencyRead and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentationUndertake fabrication tasks such as cutting, fitting, drilling, and fixing components when requiredMaintain excellent workshop standards, including housekeeping, organisation, and safe working practicesCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve technical issues quickly and effectivelyMonitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and to specificationSkills & ExperienceExperience in electrical panel assemblyBackground in fabrication or mechanical assembly an advantageStrong hands-on workshop skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilityAbility to read and work from technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagramsPrevious experience supervising or mentoring workshop staff desirableOrganised, proactive, and committed to safe working practicesQualificationsElectrical or mechanical trade qualification preferred (equivalent experience also considered)Additional training or experience in fabrication, wiring, or assembly an advantageWhy applyOpportunity to take a lead role in building cutting-edge renewable energy systemsA position within a growing and innovative company at the forefront of the energy transitionCompetitive salary and benefits packageA collaborative and supportive team environmentDoes it sound like you?
