Responsibilities
- Manage all cost-related aspects of construction projects from initial estimates to final accounts.
- Prepare, negotiate, and analyze contracts, tenders, and subcontracts.
- Provide accurate cost forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting throughout project life cycles.
- Conduct risk and value management and cost control exercises.
- Evaluate and certify subcontractor payments and variations.
- Support procurement processes, including supplier and subcontractor selection.
- Advise on commercial and contractual matters to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Lead cost meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Mentor and support junior surveyors and contribute to team development.
- Assist with dispute resolution and claims management where necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Professional membership (e.g., RICS, AIQS, or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
- Proficient in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
