The Opportunity
This is a high-impact, executive-level mandate designed for a transformative finance leader. Operating within a highly regulated compliance environment, our client has evolved from local roots into a major, scaling corporate network, serving thousands of customers across multiple regional hubs daily.
While maintaining robust governance is essential, this appointment is specifically focused on capturing a forward-looking, strategic skill set. The successful candidate will act as the ultimate commercial co-pilot to the CEO and the Board, driving long-term corporate optimization, service diversification, and regional scaling initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership: Co-shape and steer the group's long-term business planning, translating high-level vision into sustainable corporate growth and capital stability frameworks.
Commercial & Growth Advisory: Provide the CEO and Board of Directors with forward-looking financial analysis, scenario planning, and data-driven insights to evaluate market expansion and asset-diversification opportunities.
Regulatory Navigation & Governance: Act as the primary executive liaison for statutory frameworks and central regulatory authorities, ensuring absolute institutional compliance while maximizing operational agility.
Capital & Portfolio Management: Lead strategic liquidity management, investment strategy, capital allocation, and risk-mitigation frameworks to protect group reserves.
Operating Model Transformation: Champion a continuous improvement culture across the finance tower, utilizing automation, modern data analytics, and scalable financial technologies to support business-wide efficiency.
Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Present comprehensive performance metrics, financial projections, and strategic risk assessments at Board of Directors and specialized sub-committee meetings, translating complex financial data into practical guidance.
Inclusive Leadership: Mentor, empower, and upskill a dedicated internal finance function, transforming transactional workflows into a proactive, business-parting department.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Accreditations
Professional Standing: Fully qualified accountant (FCA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) with extensive post-qualification experience operating at a senior management, CFO, or Financial Director level.
Sector Background: Proven track record operating within a highly regulated corporate or industry framework is essential.
Strategic Pedigree: Clear, demonstrable experience leading businesses through growth phases, structural reorganizations, or major digital and commercial service expansions.
