Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Assistant to support the daily operations of our busy restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a love for food, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that our customers enjoy a delightful experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and presentation of a variety of food items, including sandwiches, pastries, salads, and other menu offerings.
Serve food and beverages to customers in a prompt and courteous manner, ensuring a high standard of service.
Take orders at the counter or at tables, providing menu recommendations and answering any customer queries.
Support the Barista in preparing and serving hot and cold beverages as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the cafe, including the dining area, kitchen, and storage spaces.
Monitor food stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist with setting up and clearing tables, washing dishes, and performing general cleaning duties.
Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure smooth service and a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar food and beverage or hospitality role is preferred.
A strong passion for food and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
A positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
