Crewit Resourcing is hiring a Residential Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the financial and contractual performance of housing projects from initial cost planning through to final account. You will support cost control, procurement, valuations, and ensure all project costs align with the clients standards for quality and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and tender documents for residential construction projects.
Calculate material quantities, labour costs, timelines, and assess budget impacts related to design changes.
Conduct ongoing cost monitoring, CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation), and risk assessments.
Manage supplier and subcontractor procurement, including negotiating favourable commercial term
Prepare, review, and administer contracts, variations, and payment applications.
Liaise with site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate progress reporting and cost tracking.
Attend site visits to assess progress, verify completed works, and ensure compliance with QS and safety standards.
Produce monthly cost reports, cashflow forecasts, valuations, and final accounts.
Advise management on financial risks, cost efficiencies, and value‑engineering opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.
Strong understanding of residential construction methods, building regulations, and statutory compliance.
Excellent technical skills in cost planning, measurement, tendering, and contract administration.
Proficiency in construction estimating software, cost databases, and MS Excel.
Ability to prepare accurate BOQs (Bills of Quantities) and undertake detailed take‑offs.
Strong analytical skills for reviewing construction plans and producing quantity requirements.
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
Excellent organisational and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with project teams to ensure on‑budget, on‑time delivery.
