We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Assistant Psychologist to join our team in CH08 Meath CDNT 5 Navan/Slane.
Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary Scale: €29,247 pro rata per annum.
This pay scale is subject to increases in 2024 in accordance with the recent WRC interim agreement (Ref CAM -100101-22) towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations
Annual leave: Annual leave entitlement is 30 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.

The post holder will assist the psychologists working in the CDNT in the provision of psychology services to children accessing the service as appropriate.

The successful candidate will have
1. (A) Have a Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) accredited qualification at not less than a Level 8 at 2.1 honours grade on the QQI qualifications framework in which psychology was a major subject
2. (OR) A Level 8 honours degree in another subject (2.1 or higher) together with an accredited conversion qualification at a minimum of (2.1) as conferring eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland
3. (OR) A qualification equivalent to the above accredited by the British Psychological Society for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
4. (OR) A qualification equivalent to either (i) or (ii) which would allow the applicant to become a graduate member of the PSI
5. (B) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and administrative ability, for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
* Experience working within a health care or academic environment where there was an opportunity to work with a patient population clinically and/or for research purposes
* Experience working with Clinical Psychologists
* Experience working with Health Care Professionals
* Experience in working with children and their families
* Experience working as part of a team
* Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area
* Experience undertaking psychological tests, under supervision
* Any relevant post graduate training specific to child disability services
* An awareness and understanding of the features of Autism Spectrum Disorder
* Contributed to/participated in clinical research or audit outside of undergraduate requirements
* Undertaking data collection, under supervision
* Have undertaken education or training in applied clinical and or research skills associated with the practice of psychology in a clinical setting
