Senior / Lead Electrical Engineer - Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices / ContractWe are looking for a Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team supporting new and existing equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role offers full ownership of electrical design, power distribution, controls, and commissioning for complex machinery. This role is working with a globally known healthcare / medical devices company and is on a long term freelance contract basis working mostly onsite in Limerick.Due to the nature of the role, we will not be able to consider applicants requiring visa sponsorship for Ireland.What you'll doLead development, testing, and installation of electrical distribution and machine control systems in a highly automated, 24/7 production settingProvide technical guidance across cross-functional project teams, advising on electrical design and hardware selectionTroubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and automation issuesMaintain documentation to industry standards and review vendor equipment for complianceConduct commissioning assessments and sign off on electrical installationsContribute to site-wide electrical standards, processes, and continuous improvement initiativesMentor and support other electrical engineersWhat they're looking forLevel 8 degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentStrong knowledge of Irish and international electrical standardsExperience with LV distribution, MCC systems, and 24V control/automation designSkilled in AutoCAD, EPLAN, Vault, or similar packagesFamiliarity with cable sizing/calculation tools (manual or software such as Amtech)Previous experience with fully automated production machinery in large-scale manufacturingProven track record in a senior or lead electrical engineering roleIf you are ready to take a lead role in shaping electrical engineering excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you.If this sounds interesting and you'd like to learn more, click the link below to apply or email me with a copy of your CV on-By applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
