This is a full-time permanent position working in a community-based environment.
Our client works across 12 residential communities and 4-day services nationwide, offering unique person-centred care that transforms lives.
As a Social Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults toward independent living and community integration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
* Have 1 year's experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
* Experience working with challenging behaviours.
* Strong working knowledge of legislation in place to protect vulnerable adults.
* Applicants must hold a full, clean manual driver's license and availability of own car for this post.
* An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
* An ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.
* Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
* Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
