Offer description

AllPets Veterinary Hospital | Drogheda, Co. Louth
Full-time or Part-time, Permanent
Salary up to €65,000 DOE (FTE)
Start Date: March 2026
A Vet Role Where Quality Medicine Comes First

We're looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (minimum of 1-2 years post-graduate experience) to join our friendly, supportive team in Drogheda. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident clinician who enjoys a varied caseload, values high standards of care, and wants to keep developing their skills in a well-equipped, thoughtfully run practice.

While this role is advertised as full-time, we're very open to discussing part-time options for the right candidate – flexibility is something we genuinely value.

The Role & Rota

This position sits at 38 hours per week across five days, with working hours generally between 8:30am–7:30pm on weekdays and 9am–5pm on Saturdays. Out-of-hours is limited to one in four weekends, with no overnight work required, and time off in lieu provided for any Sundays worked.

The role offers a balanced mix of consultations and surgery in a first-opinion small animal setting, with the time, support and resources needed to deliver excellent patient and client care without feeling rushed.

About The Practice
We are a 100% small animal practice based in Drogheda, Co. Louth - just 30 minutes from Dublin Airport, and are proud of the high standard of care we provide to both pets and their owners. Our modern, newly expanded practice has been designed with both patients and teams in mind and includes four consulting rooms (with one reserved for nurse-led care), two surgical theatres, a cat-only waiting area and a dedicated family bereavement room.

We are extremely well equipped, with digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, in-house blood analysers, and we're proud to be a Gold-accredited ISFM Cat-Friendly Clinic. CPD and professional development is actively encouraged, with regular in-house CPD events and clinical coaching sessions forming part of everyday life in the practice.

About You
We're looking for a VCI registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least 12 months' experience in a small animal first-opinion setting. You'll be confident in routine consults and surgery, committed to delivering a high standard of care, and able to integrate easily into a professional, friendly and fast-paced team environment.
