Re-Advertisement- Job Vacancy: Enterprise Manager – Consisting of Café Link Catering, Café Link Ballybane & Café Link Bakery

Hours: 28-35 hours per week subject to operational needs, Monday to Sunday including early mornings as well as evening events.

Start date & Location: Q1 2026 once our new site opens at Café Link Ballybane, SCCUL Enterprises, Castlepark Road, Galway

About us:

We are looking for a highly experienced Hospitality Manager for our enterprises. The role's main responsibility will be to over see Café Link Ballybane which will incorporate Café Link Catering. There will also be a requirement to place orders and to oversee operations of Café Link Bakery, based on Sandy Road,who will supply our two cafes, wholesale customers and our catering service.

Café Link offer unique cafés to Galway and for this reason and we are looking for someone special to lead us into the future as this role is streamline our new café in Ballybane.

We offer both paid supported employment opportunities to people who identify as having a disability as well as unpaid, structured, time limited internships as well as supporting those on schemes such as Community Employment (CE), TUS or Work Placement Experience Programme (WPEP). This may include other marginalised groups. The role will involve networking with community organisations such as EmployAbility Galway or the WorkAbility-Pathways to Employment programme to support skill development for those facing barriers to the workforce. The Enterprise Manager will also over see the recruitment and support of volunteers and scheme placements to share our mission.

The Enterprise Manager will report to the organisation's Service Manager and will have the support of our Enterprise Coordinator, our Catering Supervisors, Catering Leaders and our dedicated team of Catering Assistants in a supportive employment capacity as well as other interns, volunteers of scheme team members.

Link Galway CLG through our enterprises now support 18 staff identifying as having a disability. Café Link Newcastle, established in 2004, is a café with seating inside and outside for capacity up to 102. While we are heavily supported by the HSE both financially and most gratefully through daily custom, we are also reliant on the general public's support to break even under a social enterprise model. Café Link Ballybane and our other enterprises use various funding streams as we move towards financial sustainability meaning there is a strong emphasis on sales and business development.

We need somebody experienced in coffee, high volume coffee shops and a

bustling hospitality environment but also someone with either professional or personal experience with intellectual disability.

Link Galway CLG is experiencing change and in the past two years with Café Link Newcastle receiving a major makeover with our staff being retrained, upskilled while our general team expanded. Our adult day service & training centre has started delivering QQI training with our partners GRETB while Rethink Ireland invested heavily in us to reestablish a bakery and catering service as we move towards opening a new site.

Role responsibilities include:

-Budgeting of staffing unit hours and rostering.

-Generating new and sustaining catering business and café customers while building relationships which requires sales experience and business development skills.

* Managing staff: Maintaining schedules, managing staff leave requests and logging weekly

timesheets for processing through our HR systems.

-Managing health and safety through Bright Safe.

* Managing the day-to-day operations: orders, deliveries, speed of service, bookings,

Inventory as well as managing delivery drivers.

* Maintaining and ensuring the quality and standards we are known for, in coffee, food, our

premises as well as our customer service all while having the experience to share these skills to our supported staff or trainees.

-Experience delivering training in a group and individual setting.

* Café Link prides itself on being a warm, friendly & fun environment to work in. Our

* Making sure all opening and closing procedures are performed properly each day such as

managing the point of sale system.

-Lodging and logging cash sales to the bank or local post office on a regular basis and storing cash as per organisation policy.

What are we looking for?

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

· Hold extensive hospitality and catering experience of at least 7-9 years.

· Great communication skills with proven track record managing and training a diverse team.

· Be comfortable with trying and executing new ideas to generate new and additional

· customers which may require some marketing skills and developing relationships.

· Proven experience providing on the job support to people with disabilities including mental health.

· Budgeting experience

· Experience in financial forecasting

· Experience providing reasonable accommodations in the workplace.

· Experience working the social enterprise sector

· Good interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills together with an ability to advocate on behalf of staff.

· Good leadership and motivational skills with the capacity to embrace change.

· A proven track record of administrative skills.

· Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook etc

· A full clean driving licence and use of one's own car.

· Be flexible and have the ability to work on own initiative as well as working as a team player

· Be of good character

Desirable:

· Experience cooking and baking to fulfil catering orders or café requirements.

· Experience or an interest in working with adults with an intellectual disability and/or marginalised groups

· Comfortable with food preparation tasks and kitchens.

· Experience with Cash handling, roasters, payroll, purchasing, maintaining health and safety paperwork, HACCP paperwork, duty schedules, fire safety compliance

· Experiencing lodging cash to the bank

· Food Safety 1 & 2 as well as HACCP

· Be Social Media Savy and be comfortable using various social media sites to promote Café Link or comfortable delegating

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: €16.00-€17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 35 per week
