Deputy Claims Manager
This role involves handling a portfolio of claims from notification to settlement. You will review and support the resolution of complex or high-value claims, working closely with the Claims Manager to ensure seamless day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include authorising claim payments, acting as a point of escalation for complaints, and providing technical support to claims handlers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial insurance, with at least 10 years' experience handling Commercial, Employers Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL) claims, and Personal Injury Motor claims. Previous managerial or leadership experience is essential, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. This role requires the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines while maintaining a strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and quality standards.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to deliver training sessions to the claims team, contribute to claims reporting, and track key performance indicators. In addition, you will work closely with brokers, policyholders, solicitors, and third-party providers to progress claims and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
