Seeking a biomedical research engineer to drive innovation in health technology. This critical role will contribute to the development of advanced algorithm technologies for our health solutions, supporting ongoing research and innovation in physiological signal processing and machine learning across a range of products.
The ideal candidate will have a master's or PhD in Electronic/Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a cognate field, with 2-5 years' experience in algorithm development. They should be proficient in delivering algorithms to target products, preferably development of bio-medical algorithms for monitoring of physiological parameters for medical and/or consumer applications. Additionally, they should have deep knowledge of DSP, maths, statistics, and machine learning, as well as experience with Matlab/Python scientific stack and deep learning frameworks. The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously, flexibly, and deliver results, with a high energy and commitment level, and a passion for learning and change.
As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the research and development of biomedical algorithms, support exploration of novel digital signal processing (DSP) and machine learning (ML/AI) techniques for physiological sensing, analyse sensor data to generate insights that inform product design, document, test, and prepare algorithms for integration into software systems. You will also collaborate with a cross-functional team to build and refine solutions, participate in technical discussions with internal stakeholders and external partners, communicate results, limitations, and risks clearly and constructively, and support the ideation of new technology and IP generation. Finally, you will assist in defining scope, requirements, and test plans for technical workstreams, provide input to verification/validation efforts, especially involving data analysis and algorithm performance, and contribute to an IP portfolio.
