Key Roles and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their homes. This involves responding promptly to urgent care needs, offering support to regular care assistants, and ensuring continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgent calls, assess client needs, and deliver appropriate care interventions.
* Personal Care: Assist customers with daily living activities, provide mobility support, and administer medication as prescribed.
* Emotional and Social Support: Provide companionship, emotional support, and encourage social interaction.
* Coordination and Communication: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, family members, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
* QQI Level 5 Health Care Award or equivalent qualification.
* Full clean driver's license.
* Additional training requirements include Children's First, Safeguarding, Dementia Training, GDPR Training, AMRIC Basics of Infection Prevention and Control, and AMRIC Hand Hygiene.
