The Team
Our European Regulatory Investigations Team is comprised of highly skilled and experienced lawyers dedicated to navigating the evolving landscape of investigations relating to content regulation legal frameworks. Our team plays a crucial role responding to regulatory requests and investigations and helping to build key relationships with regulators.
The Role
We are looking for a mid- senior level lawyer to support the company's work on content regulation. As content regulation moves from an implementation stage to the new normal, we are looking for someone to support a range of challenging areas including investigations, enforcement action, crisis management and requests for information. This role will be based in one of the following locations; Dublin, Paris, Brussels, London or Berlin.
Responsibilities:
1. Playing a leading role in TikTok's response to investigations and enforcement action on content regulation.
2. Supporting responses to Requests for Information and investigations in collaboration with other legal colleagues and the business.
3. Taking an active role in crisis management situations.
4. Attending meetings with the regulator as required.
5. Coordinating the work of outside counsel.
6. Identifying and escalating learnings from investigations and RFIs.
7. Ensuring continuous improvement by developing relevant internal policies and procedures in collaboration with other Legal colleagues and the business teams.
8. Supporting regulatory risk assessment work.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Contentious disputes regulatory lawyer with EU or UK legal qualification or non EU/UK, ideally, candidates who can demonstrate strong experience in content regulation or transferable skills from other regulatory environments.
2. Regulatory experience including complex investigations and/or a combination of regulatory and litigation experience.
3. Very strong ability to collaborate with colleagues; lead cross-functional working groups and help inform company strategy.
4. Ability to respond rapidly to emerging legal issues and regulatory challenges.
5. Demonstrated understanding of the legal issues relating to user generated content gained either in-house or at private practice.
Preferred Qualification:
1. Experience working within a tech platform company.
