Our track record demonstrates our ability to complete some of the largest and most challenging landscaping projects in Ireland Due to growth in our Hard Landscaping division, we are looking for an estimator or Quantity Surveyor to join our team. You will be involved in tenders for all landscape projects; we have a constant flow of price requests from main contractors which need to be priced and returned. Compliance submissions are also required. Leads also come from CIS database which is used to make proactive enquiries. We also tender for public work through portal. Key Responsibilities Duties will include preparing detailed and timely tenders based on drawings, specifications, bills of quantities in order to secure profitable order book. Analysing clients BOQs and returning prices Collating quotations to calculate materials, equipment and labour costs Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors Utilising several computing packages and online tendering portals Preparing and submitting compliant tenders to meet required deadlines Pre-contract meetings on site, and subsequent hand over to operations department. Project cost control Measure and record site information Duties including measurements, valuation and agreement of work sections Support the onsite team with cost control, cost reporting and forecasting What we are looking for? Previous experience in estimating is a minimum requirement with a relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering a bonus. Landscaping experience at any level would be preferable but not fully necessary. Proficient IT skills, estimating software, Microsoft Excel. etc. Excellent budget management and punctual reporting deadlines Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Good awareness of tendering and the estimating process Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy Able to demonstrate professional communications at all levels The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Given our office location ( Hollystown D15), having access to your own transport would be benficial as we are not located close to public transport routes.
