Job Role: Quantity Surveyor
This role plays a vital part in the delivery of construction projects, ensuring that financial and contractual aspects are handled with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
* The preparation of standard documentation such as reports, valuations, letters, and financial reports is crucial to the success of this role.
* Tender documents need to be prepared accurately and according to the procurement choice.
* The analysis of tenders and the preparation of tender reports at all stages of procurement are essential functions of this position.
* Preparing valuations and Cost Reports, re-measuring as necessary, and adjusting variations are key responsibilities.
* Assisting in the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims requires excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Agreeing final accounts is a critical aspect of this role.
Requirements:
* At least 3+ years' experience working with a large main contractor in a QS role is essential for success in this position.
* A Bachelor's degree in a construction-related discipline is required.
* Excellent IT skills are necessary for efficient operation.
* A firm understanding of contracts methods is crucial.
* Excellent communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
