Overview
Our client, a Irish-headquartered organisation undergoing sustained growth is seeking a Global Payroll Manager to join their International Finance Team based in Limerick.
The role will work closely with the Finance Director and wider Senior Finance Leadership Team also based in Limerick. There is a Global element to this role as the company is expanding but will initially focus on Ireland, UK & Germany (approx 1400 employees). It will a manage the existing Payroll Team in place but which will grow in time.

The person will ideally be based in a commutable distance to Limerick on a hybrid basis but there is flexibility with this for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee high-volume weekly and monthly payroll processes across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local legislation and tax requirements.
* Lead and mentor a team of payroll professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
* Liaise with global payroll providers and manage the integration of payroll systems in newly entered regions.
* Implement and maintain global payroll systems (e.g., SAP, HRCloud, BrightPay, T&A).
* Integrate payroll systems with HRIS and finance platforms.
* Develop and implement robust global payroll policies and best practices.
* Work collaboratively with HR and Finance departments to align payroll with broader business systems and processes.
* Manage complex scenarios, including expatriate payroll and cross-border payment structures.
* Ensure timely resolution of payroll queries, delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders.
* Safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of all payroll data.
* Support audit and compliance efforts, including liaising with internal and external auditors.
* Drive internal control measures and support payroll-related project work.
Requirements
:
* 10 years' experience in Global Payroll Operations
* IPASS qualification required
* Demonstrated experience managing payroll across multiple international jurisdictions. Ideally with a Multinational or Global Professional Services Firm
* Familiarity with global statutory regulations including tax, social security, and benefits compliance
* Proven experience managing external payroll providers and vendor relationships
