Trade Counter Sales Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced trade counter environment, providing excellent customer service and support for day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the trade and retail industry, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Main Responsibilities:
* Serve customers at the trade counter, providing advice and product information.
* Handle customer enquiries in person and via email in a professional manner.
* Support store operations, including merchandising and stock replenishment.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Work as part of a team to achieve sales targets and branch objectives.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Competency with Microsoft Office applications.
* A strong work ethic and ability to work well under pressure.
* A background or interest in DIY, construction, or hardware is an advantage.
* A Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification is required.
About the Role:
This role involves working in a busy trade counter environment, interacting with customers and colleagues on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling customer enquiries, and supporting store operations.
Working Arrangements:
The role requires flexibility to work a six-day rota, including Saturdays. The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a team to achieve sales targets and branch objectives.
