Background
My client is a growing venture-backed biotech is preparing for its first transition from advanced discovery into regulated development. Operating with a deliberately lean internal model and extensive use of external specialists, the organisation is hiring senior translational expertise to take scientific ownership of IND-enabling and early clinical readiness activities.
This is an execution-led scientific role, not a scale up management position with a strong emphasis on the scientific ownership of IND-enabling and early clinical readiness activities from preclinical phase. This is a role for the discerning candidate who has a strong understanding of the pathway to clinic, someone who can creatively navigate, anticipate and respond to different internal and stakeholder needs and can operate independently to manage projects and processes end-to-end.
I am looking for someone who is passionate about working not just on the cutting edge, but the bleeding edge of science, working in a true front-runner environment close to science an projects that are on the pathway to making a difference in patients lives.
The Focus
You will own the translational and non clinical strategy across one or more development programs, shaping pharmacology, PK/PD and toxicology plans that are regulator-ready and clinically grounded.
Working closely with external CROs, consultants and toxicologists, you'll act as the scientific bridge into CMC and early clinical planning, providing clear rationale to support development and investment decisions.
About you
This role is designed for someone who has personally led IND-enabling translational decisions and is comfortable operating with high autonomy in a resource-efficient environment.
* PhD-level scientific training
* Experience supporting regulated development of complex therapeutic programs (antibody modalities)
* Demonstrated ownership of non-clinical and/or translational packages used in regulatory interactions
* Comfortable working through external partners rather than large internal teams
* Irish tax residency required (non-negotiable)
* Relocation supported
* Competitive compensation with additional package components including equity/benefits
* Focused, science-led interview process
