Job Title: Engineering Director
A leading FMCG organisation in Wexford is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to drive the strategic direction of the engineering function.
This key leadership role oversees capital investment projects, manages engineering budgets, and collaborates with R&D to support process implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Direction: Define and implement the strategic direction for the engineering function in alignment with business objectives.
* Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, ensuring a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
* Capital Expenditure: Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets, ensuring investments align with long-term business goals.
* Site Operations: Oversee site engineering operations, including maintenance, reliability, and technical support.
* Innovation and Efficiency: Work closely with R&D teams to implement new processes and technologies that drive innovation and efficiency.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, including Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
* Sustainability: Drive sustainability initiatives and efficiency improvements in line with corporate ESG goals.
Key Requirements:
* Leadership Experience: Proven experience as Head of Engineering (or equivalent) within a multinational FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device company.
* Technical Expertise: Strong background in engineering leadership, Capex management, and process optimisation.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Experience in managing large-scale engineering functions within a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
* Strategic Planning: Expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
* Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
* Education: Degree in Engineering or a related discipline; further qualifications in leadership or business management would be an advantage.
