The Address Sligo is looking for an Accommodation Assistant.Responsible for:To ensure agreed standards are maintained on a consistent basis with particularattention to maintenance and hygiene in bedrooms, public areas and linen, Toensure rooms are fully checked to company 4* standard prior to returning themto receptionKey Duties of the role include:- ToEnsure assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas are cleanedto the standards, using only approved chemicals/cleaning materials andequipment and to ensure stocks of bathroom and bedroom items are replenished tocorrect standards.
- Toensure bed linen and towels are changed to the agreed schedule and standardlaid down for your hotel.
- Ensureaccommodation trolley, caddies and storage presses are maintained tidy, cleanedand stocked.
- Toensure any guest property left behind is passed to Accommodation Manager forlost property.
- Toalert the Accommodation Manager to the needs of accommodation staff be itmaterials or equipment to carry out their job efficiently.
- Tomaximize the use of all resources and ensure the lowest cost levels.
- Reportany maintenance issues to the supervisor/manager promptly- Toliaise with your supervisor regarding room moves, VIP guests, and special needsand act on any information given.
- Toinform your supervisor of room status on an ongoing basis once rooms have beenchecked.
- Toactively participate in any training, meetings and personnel exercises designedto improve standards and performance levels.
- Tocarry out the hotel's customer relation policy.
- Tocommunicate hotel services to guests.
- Toreceive customer complaints courteously and sympathetically and to report toyour manager immediately.
- To arrive for duty by rostered times in full clean uniformand wearing name badge at all times.
- To ensure the highest standards in personal hygiene andgrooming.
