Our client, a leader in the medical device industry are seeking a Quality Lab Technician to join their Galway facility. 12 month FTC with opportunity for permanent contract.
Role Overview
1. Supports complaint handling, returned product analysis, and post-market regulatory reporting for Medtronic devices.
2. Conducts lab investigations, root-cause analysis, and documentation in a regulated environment.
3. Coordinates cross-functional complaint investigations and ensures compliance with quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
4. Perform analysis, testing, and investigation of returned complaint devices.
5. Document device receipt, investigation results, and escalation of quality issues.
6. Assist with developing test procedures and conducting non-routine analyses.
7. Maintain lab equipment: calibration, maintenance, alignment checks.
8. Support internal/external audits and ensure adherence to all regulatory procedures.
9. Communicate findings and updates to CQXM management and quality teams.
10. Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
11. Support CQXM deliverables during new product introduction.
Key Requirements
12. Level 8 degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical discipline.
13. Experience in medical devices or regulated industry (preferred).
14. Laboratory experience beneficial but not essential.
15. Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
16. Technical writing capability and familiarity with problem-solving/statistical tools.
17. Ability to multitask, manage time, and take initiative.
18. Team-oriented with strong relationship-building skills.
