About Your New EmployerA well-established international renewables developer with a strong pipeline of solar and battery storage projects across Ireland and other key global marketsKnown for taking projects from early development through to energisation, with a very high success rate through planningOffers a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with long-term growth, exposure to large-scale projects, and real influence on project outcomesThis is a business where technical expertise is genuinely valued, and where your input directly impacts the success of major renewable energy projects.About Your New JobAs theGrid Connections Manager, you will take ownership of grid connection strategy across a portfolio of renewable energy projects in Ireland, with some exposure to UK projects where required.You will be responsible for guiding projects from early-stage grid optioneering through to executed grid connection agreements, working closely with internal development teams and external network operators.Key responsibilities include:Owning and delivering the grid connection strategy for a portfolio of solar PV and BESS projectsActing as the primary interface with ESB Networks and EirGrid, managing applications, negotiations, milestones, and paymentsAssessing and optimising distribution and transmission connection options, ensuring cost-effective, technically sound solutionsManaging external consultants and specialist advisors to support grid applications where requiredProviding internal policy and strategic advice to protect and maximise the commercial value of the project pipelineThis is a highly influential role with clear responsibility, autonomy, and visibility across the wider development team.What Skills You NeedTo be successful in this role, you will need:A strong understanding of grid connection processes, codes, and standardsProven ability to manage and negotiate with multiple stakeholders, including network operators and consultantsSolid project management, commercial awareness, and decision-making skillsExperience RequiredDegree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline3+ years' experience in a grid or connections-focused role within a DNO, TNO, power systems consultancy, IPP, or similar environmentExperience interpreting and negotiating grid connection offers, managing costs, and de-risking programme and commercial impactsWorking knowledge of ESB Networks and EirGrid connection processes in IrelandDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlinesWhat's on OfferOpportunity to play a key role in the delivery of major renewable energy projects in IrelandLong-term career progression within a growing international renewables businessCompetitive salary and benefits package (salary dependent on experience)Exposure to both solar and battery energy storage projects, with strong technical and commercial developmentWhat's NextApply now by clicking the"Apply Now"button, or contact me directly for a confidential discussion.If this role isn't quite right but you're exploring similar opportunities in renewables, grid, or energy infrastructure, feel free to get in touch — we also haveTemp, FTC, and Contract roles available.
