About the Role
Our client, a well-established sports and social club in Cork, is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Bar Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day running of a busy members' bar and function space.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining excellent customer experience while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operation of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service
* Lead, train, and motivate bar staff to deliver consistently high standards
* Manage stock control, ordering, wastage, and supplier relationships
* Ensure full compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and food safety standards
* Handle cash management, tills, and basic financial reporting
* Coordinate bar operations for match days, events, and private functions
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer care
* Work closely with club management to improve service, sales, and member experience
Key Requirements
* Previous experience as a Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager, or Senior Supervisor
* Strong knowledge of bar operations, stock control, and licensing requirements
* Proven ability to manage and motivate a team
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a hands‑on role
* Experience in a sports club, social club, hotel bar, or busy pub is highly advantageous
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, particularly around events and fixtures
