Whitewater is headquartered in Bray, Co. Wicklow, with a satellite office in Naas, and operates from European bases in Spain, Sweden, Italy and UK, with plans for further offices to open in Germany, Denmark and Finland. The Group is experiencing significant growth due to its focus on offsite construction methods of delivering turnkey projects, meaning onsite construction time is kept to a minimum.
Role Description
This is a fulltime, onsite position for a Project Manager based in Ireland, with responsibilities that involve extensive travel across Europe. The Project Manager will oversee and manage the delivery of complex projects within the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing sectors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless execution.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Manage and lead MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) related projects from inception to completion onsite.
* Coordinate and liaise with engineers, subcontractors, architects, and clients to ensure the project's requirements are met.
* Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
* Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for MEP projects.
* Monitor progress onsite, conducting regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, health & safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
* Provide technical leadership and support to the project team, including resolving onsite issues and challenges.
* Prepare and present progress reports, cost reports, and other relevant documentation for stakeholders.
* Ensure projects meet all legal, regulatory, and safety standards, including managing risk assessments.
* Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolving concerns or disputes as they arise.
* Lead and motivate the project team to foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
* Oversee the commissioning and handover of completed projects, ensuring smooth transition to operation and client satisfaction
Required Qualifications and Experience
:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* At least 5 years of experience in project management with a focus on MEP, Mechanical, Electrical, or related sectors.
* Proven experience in managing largescale projects from design through to completion in a construction or engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of MEP systems, including installation, maintenance, and commissioning processes.
* Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
* Familiarity with UK health and safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
* A proactive approach with strong problemsolving and decisionmaking capabilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
Desirable Skills
:
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certifications.
* Experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of complex mechanical/electrical systems.
* Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) and other modern construction technologies.
