Offer description

The Job:

Join a global leader in medical technology, headquartered in Dublin, as a Logistics Administrator. In this pivotal role, you'll help shape the backbone of the company's logistics cost management—combining your analytical expertise with hands-on experience across freight forwarding and data systems. This 12-month contract offers a hybrid working model and the chance to collaborate with international teams across a dynamic logistics portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for rate structure systems across the Global Logistics Portfolio.
2. Analyze supplier quotations and manage price components for transportation (Courier, Express Road, Air, Ocean, Rail) and contract logistics services.
3. Monitor and administer the duration and renewal of rate agreements with logistics suppliers.
4. Manage incoming invoices (PDF, CSV), validate their structure and data alignment, and ensure accurate charge codes and formatting. Re-upload and reconcile as required.
5. Investigate invoice mismatches and communicate directly with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) to resolve issues.
6. Ensure timely invoice receipt each month and coordinate follow-ups with providers.
7. Record and process market-driven pricing for transportation services using internal ticketing and IT systems.
8. Build insightful analytics dashboards to track performance metrics like invoice timeliness and currency fluctuations, in collaboration with management.
9. Lead onboarding sessions and training for new service providers, ensuring a smooth integration into existing workflows.
10. Carry out ad-hoc quantitative analysis leveraging visual tools, algorithm development, and machine learning where applicable.

Requirements:

11. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred, with several years of relevant experience.
12. Solid background in freight forwarding and logistics operations, complemented by strong analytical skills.
13. Advantageous: education in accounting with a focus on freight costs and logistics finance.
14. Deep understanding of rate structures and daily freight operations to inform settlement processes.
15. Experienced in managing master data for rate management using logistics cost tools or similar systems.
16. Skilled in Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms is a plus.
17. Fluent in English (spoken and written).
18. Prior experience with SAP freight invoice approvals and third-party freight auditing is essential.
