Financial Systems Analyst
The role of a Financial Systems Analyst is to lead the support and enhancements of PeopleSoft General Ledger, ensuring accurate and reliable financial reporting. This position requires collaboration across IT, Finance, and external service providers, driving process improvements and managing key finance system initiatives.
In this capacity, you will be responsible for leading support and enhancements for PeopleSoft Financials (General Ledger, Multicurrency, Consolidation, Allocations, Journal Entry processing, etc.). You will partner with Finance and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct gap analysis, and re-engineer processes.
This involves coordinating application management activities across multiple regions and time zones, developing functional specifications, managing testing (scripts, UAT, regression), and delivering user training. As a subject matter expert on financial processes, including VAT, withholding tax, and reporting, you will provide guidance on these areas. Additionally, you will support governance, prioritization, and monitoring of Finance IT initiatives.
Your expertise in integrations, reporting tools, and analytics (SQL, Power BI, nVision, Business Objects) will be valuable in this role. Key Skills & Qualifications include 5+ years experience in PeopleSoft Financials, strong knowledge of core modules, solid understanding of financial processes, hands-on experience with testing, training, and problem resolution, familiarity with PeopleTools, SQR, Autosys, and system integration, and strong SQL and reporting skills with exposure to Power BI or Business Objects.
A degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or IT with a strong interest in both domains is desirable.
