Role Overview
This position is part of a specialist stop smoking service, funded to provide support to smokers who wish to quit in various settings.
The role involves providing intensive support and advice on a group or one-to-one basis, as well as delivering other tobacco-related work where appropriate.
Main Responsibilities:
* To respond to referrals for the specialist stop smoking service in youth, workplace, GP, and community settings.
* To assess clients' motivation and readiness to quit, recognising and supporting clients to work through all aspects of nicotine addiction.
* To provide interventions in line with the evidence base and agreed quality standards.
* To organise and deliver interventions on a one-to-one basis and through group work as appropriate to meet individual needs.
The successful candidate will be expected to work flexible hours to meet the demand for the service and participate in regular update meetings/training as required.
