About the Job:
1. Lead a team of engineers and technicians to manage day-to-day site activities, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
2. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
3. Collaborate with architects, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet client requirements and regulatory compliance.
4. Techincal Expertise:
* Analyse complex technical problems, identifying solutions and implementing them efficiently.
* Conduct regular site inspections, checking work against specifications, designs, and contracts.
5. Leadership and Development:
* Mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and best practices.
6. Communication and Reporting:
* Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, stakeholders, and clients, highlighting project progress, challenges, and solutions.
* Foster strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
7. Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
* Excellent technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.
* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
* Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
