Role Overview:
* Manage online referrals promptly, accepting or declining cases within specified timeframes.
* Contact clients to schedule initial appointments within agreed timelines.
* Provide short-term counselling (3 to 8 sessions) based on individual cases.
* Deliver timely written and verbal feedback and case notes.
* Report any risks to our Case Management Team.
Candidate Requirements:
* Registered or accredited by a professional counselling body (e.g., IACP, PSI, ICP, APCP, IAHIP) or equivalent.
* If not accredited, qualified to Diploma level, with 3+ years post-qualification experience and at least 450 counselling hours.
* Ability to work within a suitable theoretical approach for short-term counselling and EAP settings.
* Regular access to clinical supervision.
* Professional indemnity insurance of at least €1,000,000.
* Access to a dedicated, discreet consulting room with a neutral ambiance.
* Suitable waiting area or appointment management to ensure client confidentiality and comfort.
* Answerphone with a clear outgoing message identifying you as a counsellor.
Experience & Skills:
* Skilled in assessing presenting issues and planning appropriate support.
* Experience in short-term counselling, solution-focused interventions, or similar settings.
* Experience working in EAP or related environments preferred.
* Knowledge of organizational dynamics and workplace issues.
* Ability to refer clients to other supports and resources.
* Proficient with Microsoft Word, email, and TELUS Health online systems.
Working with TELUS Procedures:
* Understand and adhere to our case management protocols, including handling 'at risk' cases and additional sessions.
* Collaborate effectively with case management teams via email, phone, and paperwork.
