Salary: €40,000 – €45,000 DOE plus uncapped commission and company car.
The Job
A well established business within the agricultural machinery and steel engineering sector is looking for an Area Sales Person to cover Southern Ireland. This is a field based role focused on building customer relationships, developing new business and growing sales across an established territory. You’ll be promoting a range of agricultural machinery and engineering products, working closely with both existing and new customers. The role involves regular travel, customer visits, and product demonstrations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a hands on sales environment and managing their own territory.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop sales across Southern Ireland
Promote agricultural machinery and steel engineering products
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Identify new business opportunities and support sales growth
Carry out customer visits, meetings, and product demonstrations
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing
Maintain high levels of customer service and after‑sales support
Work towards agreed sales targets and business objectives
Candidate Profile
Previous experience in field sales or area sales
Background within agriculture, machinery, engineering, or a related industry would be beneficial
Good understanding of agricultural machinery or engineering products advantageous
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Self‑motivated with a commercial and customer‑focused approach
Able to manage your own diary and territory effectively
Full driving licence essential
Practical, reliable, and comfortable working independently
